Nisqually Wildlife Refuge — remarkable day access to nature’s balance

A winding boardwalk traverses the marsh land at Nisqually Wildlife Refuge. The tide is out and reveals large areas of green grasses and the gazebo way in the distance is very tiny compared the the wide blue sky.

The Puget Sound is a commanding body of water that encapsulates a rich diversity of plants, trees, animals and interesting nooks and crannies -- all changing with the rise and fall of the daily tides.
